Mission
Oilinvest (Netherlands) B.V. Group companies are business entities seeking to make profit, acting responsibly and contributing services to, and enhancing the wealth of, all the societies around the world in which they operate. The Group seeks to conduct all its operations with a view to achieving a better quality of life for all.
The Group believes that there are three inextricably linked strands in progression towards its overall goals - business development, care for the environment, and social engagement. Group companies contribute to all three.
-
Business Development Oilinvest companies are commercial enterprises whose principal contribution to society is to provide essential energy products and to help create wealth. The Group’s business development depends on making available affordable, convenient and safe energy to the widest possible number of people and companies. This is the Group’s core aim.
-
Care for the Environment Oilinvest companies carry on all their operations with environmental considerations to the fore, and are constantly examining how to improve their environmental performance. Each Group company does so in the context of its own ecological, social and economic conditions. Oilinvest (Netherlands) B.V. provides overall co-ordination of Group companies within a framework which enables Group companies to learn from the best practices of others, both inside and outside the Oilinvest Group. The result is the achievement of ever greater levels of care for the environment by individual members of the Group, and by the Group as a whole.
-
Social Engagement Oilinvest companies are major long-term investors in the countries in which they operate, providing direct and indirect employment, business opportunities, and tax revenues. They believe in the need to be active members of the communities in which they participate, through support for human development, both within the Group’s companies (for example, by providing training and other skills enhancement programmes for staff) and outside them (for example, by sponsoring social and sporting events). |
