A new high performance 100 octane fuel. WR 100 - World Record 100 octane: a fuel deriving from the technology that, in 2005, was used by the nine-times powerboat inshore world champion, Guido Cappellini, to break the world speed record on lake Iseo in northern Italy.
WR 100 has been specially formulated to deliver the following advantages:
1. an improvement in engine performance. The improved performance potential is mainly due to the high premature detonation resistance of the Tamoil WR 100 fuel, signified by its octane number of 100, which is appreciably higher than the octane rating of traditional fuel. This characteristic can lead to an improvement in the performance of engines equipped with an electronic management system and with sensors that are programmed to adapt the primary combustion characteristics such as anticipated ignition etc. This means that the actual improvements achievable will vary significantly depending on the type of vehicle being used.
2. a reduction in engine deposits. The improved detergent properties of WR 100, compared to Tamoil's normal grade fuel, lead to a reduction in deposits in the engine's inlet valves as well as in the rest of the fuel system.
As a premium product, Tamoil WR 100 fuel is sold in selected service stations at a higher price than Tamoil's standard fuel.
